About Sorcha Harman
Interior Designer | Dublin
Sorcha Harman, Founder of Porcha Design is an interior designer based between Dublin and Berlin, working across Europe and beyond.
Her practice is rooted in luxury residential interior design high-end residential renovations, period homes, contemporary residences, and bespoke new builds, with a focus on projects that require both sensitivity and precision.
Before establishing her own studio, she built her experience at Suzie McAdam Design as Design Manager, and previously at Optimise Design, developing a strong foundation in complex residential interior design and high-end renovation projects. Alongside this, she has worked across Los Angeles, London, and Dublin within established interior design studios, bringing a broad and internationally informed perspective to private residential interiors.
Textiles remain a starting point in her process rather than an afterthought. They inform atmosphere, material direction, and the layering of spaces from the earliest stages of a project.
Her work moves between Georgian and Victorian townhouse renovations, large family homes, and contemporary residential interiors, alongside selected hospitality projects in California, London, and the Cotswolds. Her work has been featured in IMAGE Interiors, House & Home, and Robb Report.
How I Work
I begin each project by developing a considered colour narrative, a guiding framework that informs architectural decisions, finishes, and furnishings alike. This ensures every element feels intentional and cohesive.
Through collaborative concept development, schemes evolve into detailed drawings, sample studies, and fully resolved design proposals. I oversee the complete specification of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), ensuring materials, joinery, lighting, and bespoke elements are thoughtfully integrated and aligned with the project’s budget and timeline.
From initial concept through to final installation, I manage the entire design journey with precision and clarity, working closely with architects, contractors, and specialist craftspeople to deliver cohesive, characterful interiors.
